I would like to thank everyone who attended the Motherwell District Childminding Groups AGM. It was great to have your support for our Group and look forward to seeing you all throughout the year at the drop ins and the various events that will be holding.

Christmas Parties - Donations

CHRISTMAS DONATIONS

Thank you for the huge amount of support we have been given over the past few months. Party tickets are no longer on sale but we have had a fantastic number of tickets sold for our Bowling night and our Pre-school Party. 

We are still looking for donations for raffles for our Christmas party. 

We are looking for things like -

bottles of wine, house hold items, gift sets, toys, jewellery, sweets etc

Please hand any kind donations to any of the committee, get in contact and we can arrange to get it collected or give it your childminder or a childminder you know.

Lets make it extra special this year for our little ones!!!

                                                               

November Newsletter

Tickets on Sale

Daisy Park drop-in will start back Monday 19th October and Holytown will return on Wednesday 21st October. We hope you have all had a brilliant October Week.

Tickets will be on sale for the Bowling Night and the Christmas party from Monday at both drop-ins.

Bowling Night - Thursday 26th November - 6.45pm at M&Ds, Cosmic Bowl - See Angie Mitchell

Christmas Party - Saturday 5th December - 2pm - 3.30pm, Calvary Church - See Elaine Muir

Tickets are priced at £2.00 per child and will be on sale until Friday 13th November. 

No tickets will be sold after this date so please make an effort to get to one of the drop-ins to buy your tickets ASAP.

Macmillan Presentation

MACMILLAN PRESENTATION

An amazing turn out this morning at Daisy Park for the presentation of the cheque for £2000 to Macmillan.

A huge thank you to Heather and Alison for presenting it to an amazing Macmillan Nurse Jo Dunlop.

Macmillan Coffee Morning 

A huge thank you to everyone that has been involved in making our Coffee Morning a HUGE success! 

Would be here for days thanking everyone individually but would like to say a special thank you to a few that without them it just wouldn't have been possible.

Sandra and Allan and all at Roman Road for allowing us the use of the halls and for helping us set up and clean up.

McQueens Dairies for donating the milk and their very generous donation

MDCG committee - a fantastic bunch of girls that have taken time out their busy lives to make it an event to remember!

Jean Boyce for donating the toys for the Toy Sale and Callum and Cameron, they could sell Ice to the Eskimos!!

Heather for a very generous donation in memory of Marilyn 

Alison Gibson and everyone who made very generous cash donations.

Everyone that baked, donated prizes, sold raffles, bought raffles, ran stalls on the day

and of course the people who turned up on the day and put their hands in their pockets for this very worthwhile cause.

We raised an amazing £2,000 for an amazing charity!!

So proud to be a part of this amazing Group, well done everyone!

MEMBER QUESTIONNAIRE

SEPTEMBER 2015

Please could you take a moment to complete the following questions and return to a member of the committee on or before Wednesday 23^rd September. It is not necessary to disclose your name, however if you require training it would help.

1.     Holytown drop-in is currently in the morning until March 2016.

Would you like it to change to afternoon?

2.    Constitution Aims & Objectives (available on MDCG website)

Do you feel this represents the group at this moment?

3.    As grants are no longer as big as before, what constructive ideas do you have for funding?

4.    We are looking for ideas for the Asda grant. This could be items we need, an outing etc.

5.    The drop-ins are currently £1.50 per childminder. Do you feel this should remain the same or increase and if so, to how much?

6.    What training do you require?

7.    What are your thoughts on offering family members the opportunity to take part in training e.g. first aid? This would be if there are any places available after members have had first chance.

8.    Any other constructive suggestions for the next questionnaire.

MDCG Christmas Party Night

MDCG Christmas Night Out

Saturday 12th December

Elaine Muir is organising our Christmas Party Night this year, if you are a member and would like to come along then give your name to Elaine.  A non refundable deposit of £15 will be required before the 21st August to book it.

Please come along and support your Group. 

There will also be a few surprises on the night.

 Lets make it a night to remember!!

MEMBERSHIP FEES

Just a reminder that all Membership Fees of £10 have to be paid by the 1st September 2015 to Angela Sewell. 

Each membership entitles you to: 

7 free entries to drop ins of your choice

Free or discounted training

NEW LOGO COMPETITION

We are running a competition for a new Logo for our Group. 

The competition is open to all children of all ages. 

It has to have MDCG or Motherwell District Childminding Group or both within it. 

Be as imaginative as you like!!
